How does Convo access my Google Meet calls?
Convo runs locally on your computer, capturing Google Meet system audio. It never joins as a visible bot—other participants don't see it. Audio processes on your device before syncing to Slack.
Will other people on the Google Meet call know I'm using this?
No. Unlike Fireflies or Otter, Convo doesn't add a "recording bot" to your Google Meet call. It's completely invisible. Only you know it's running.
How does the data actually get to Slack?
Convo connects to Slack through automation platforms — Zapier, Make, or IFTTT. After your Google Meet meeting, Convo triggers your configured automation, which sends the data you've chosen (transcripts, summaries, action items) to Slack. Will Slack channels get spammed with Google Meet summaries?
No. You choose which channels get which meeting types. Internal Google Meet 1:1s can go to DMs, while all-hands go to #general in Slack.
Can team members react to Google Meet meeting notes in Slack?
Absolutely. Summaries posted to Slack are regular messages—people can comment, add emoji reactions, or start threads to discuss specific Google Meet call points.
Does this work with Slack private channels?
Yes. Convo respects Slack permissions. If only certain people were in the Google Meet meeting, the summary only goes to Slack channels they have access to.
