Call types are Convo's folders: organize your calls by kind (discovery, demos, check-ins), and when you want the team in the loop, share a folder instead of your whole account. Sharing is a deliberate act, one folder at a time.
Creating a call type
- In the dashboard sidebar, create a new call type under Call types
- Name it and pick an icon
- Choose who can see this folder: Just me (the default) or Everyone in your workspace
To put a call in a folder, open the call and use Add to folder at the top of the page.
How sharing works
Private by default
Every call type starts as "Just me". Nothing you record is visible to anyone else until you deliberately put it in a shared folder.
Shared folders
A folder set to "Everyone" is visible to all members of your workspace. Calls that any member adds to it, including their summaries and transcripts, can be opened by the rest of the team. That's how a sales team shares discovery calls or a CS team shares onboarding sessions.
The rest stays yours
Sharing a folder shares only that folder. Your other calls, folders, and history remain private to you.
Setting up your team
- Invite teammates in Settings → Members (available on the Professional and Enterprise plans)
- Once they've joined your workspace, shared folders and the calls inside them appear for everyone
Next steps
- Managing team permissions - Roles and access in your workspace
- Managing conversation history - Everything a call captures
