The knowledge base is what makes Convo answer with your facts. Upload your pricing sheet, product specs, or competitive brief, and when a prospect asks a hard question mid-call, the answer on your screen comes from your own material, not a generic guess.
Adding knowledge
Open Knowledge in the dashboard sidebar and click Add. Three ways in:
- Upload a file: PDF, TXT, or Markdown, for example a sales deck export, pricing sheet, or spec document
- From a website: paste a URL and Convo imports the page's content, useful for your own product or pricing pages
- Manually: paste text directly, for battle cards or notes that don't live in a file
Limit: up to 10 documents per user. Curate for quality: a current pricing sheet and a sharp competitive brief beat ten stale slide decks.
How it's used
Live, during calls
When a question comes up on the call, Convo searches your documents for the most relevant passages and builds its answer from them, always prioritizing what's being said in the live conversation over the documents. Suggestion cards that draw on your material show a small chip naming the source file, so you always know where an answer came from.
Ask AI, anytime
The Knowledge section includes an Ask AI tab where you can ask questions about your uploaded documents directly, useful for checking what your own material actually says before a call.
What to upload first
- Your pricing sheet: pricing questions are the most common mid-call scramble
- Product specs or an FAQ: for the detailed questions that stall demos
- A competitive brief: so "how are you different from X?" gets your best answer, not an improvised one
Availability
The AI knowledge base is part of the Convo Professional plan.
