Privacy for Convo’s free tools
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This notice covers Convo Negotiation Prep, Convo Proposal Builder and Convo Meeting Planner, both on the web and through their ChatGPT plugins. No Convo account or payment is needed.
Negotiation Prep
You describe a negotiation or an objection and get a one-page plan or suggested responses. ChatGPT writes them; Convo makes no AI model calls for this tool. On the web page, “Draft my plan in ChatGPT” and “Get responses in ChatGPT” open ChatGPT with a request built from what you typed; your text goes from your browser to ChatGPT, not to Convo, and ChatGPT processes it under your ChatGPT settings. In ChatGPT, ChatGPT writes the plan and sends it to Convo only so we can display or export it. Convo does not store plans, descriptions or objections; they exist in your page or conversation and in files you choose to download. “Practise in ChatGPT” opens ChatGPT with a practice prompt built from your plan. “Send for feedback” creates a link that contains the plan itself after the # sign; browsers do not send that part to our server, so Convo never receives or stores it, but anyone you give the link to can read the plan. The main page at /tools/negotiation-prep uses the same website analytics as the rest of itsconvo.com; the tool area is masked in session replay. Shared plans open on a separate page without those scripts.
Proposal Builder
You may enter names, proposal text, amounts and other details needed for your document. Draft edits remain in the active interface. When ChatGPT calls proposal tools or you request PDF export, the supplied draft is sent to Convo’s server for validation or document generation. Convo does not save proposal content in a database. Temporary processing ends with the request. Downloaded PDFs and editable drafts are under your control. We do not publish or send proposals for you. If you supply notes in ChatGPT, ChatGPT also processes those notes under your ChatGPT settings.
Meeting Planner
We use time zones, dates, durations and working hours to calculate options. Web calculations run in your browser; ChatGPT tool calls send these settings to Convo. We do not connect to calendars or request attendee names or emails. Shared links include the selected settings so recipients can open the same plan. Calendar files are downloaded, not sent as invitations.
Service providers and technical data
Convo uses Vercel for hosting and Neon for the database that holds the aggregate counters below, accessed through a database role limited to those counters. These providers may process technical request data necessary to deliver and secure the service under their retention policies. Transport-level rate limits may process IP addresses; an IP address is not treated as an individual ChatGPT user. We do not intentionally include tool inputs in application logs. Aggregate request counters are kept for up to three days to enforce service limits.
Usage counts
For Negotiation Prep we count daily totals of plans shown and exported, objection answers, requests opened in ChatGPT, practice clicks and clicks through to Convo, labelled with the kind of negotiation (for example sales or rent), on the web page and when its ChatGPT tools are used. On Proposal Builder and Meeting Planner we count completed tasks and sharing actions only if you opt in. These counts never include your messages, input text or settings, and use no cookies or cross-session identifiers. Aggregate usage totals are removed within 91 days by scheduled cleanup. ChatGPT plugin interfaces do not add our web analytics scripts.
Your controls
You can start over, clear a draft, decline optional usage counts in Proposal Builder and Meeting Planner, and choose whether to download or share an output. Save an editable draft if you want to continue later. Proposal drafts and planner settings are not saved in a Convo account.
