How does Convo access my Slack calls?

Convo runs locally on your computer, capturing Slack system audio. It never joins as a visible bot—other participants don't see it. Audio processes on your device before syncing to Linear.

Will other people on the Slack call know I'm using this?

No. Unlike Fireflies or Otter, Convo doesn't add a "recording bot" to your Slack call. It's completely invisible. Only you know it's running.

How does Convo know who to assign tasks to in Linear?

It listens for "John will..." or "@Sarah can you..." on Slack and maps names to Linear user accounts. You can review assignments before they're created.

Can it update existing Linear tasks or only create new ones?

Both. If a Slack discussion references a Linear task ID or name, Convo updates that task. Otherwise, it creates new tasks with proper linking.

What happens if the AI misinterprets a task on Slack?

You get a review screen before Linear sync. Edit the task, change assignees, adjust due dates. Over time, corrections train Convo to be more accurate for your team.
