The Convo dashboard is your command center for managing calls, tracking action items, and preparing AI assistance. This guide covers all dashboard features in the macOS app.
The dashboard has two main areas:
Left Sidebar – Navigation menu with Home, All Calls, Settings, and collapsible sections for specialized features
Main Content – Dynamic area that changes based on your selected view
Access the dashboard by clicking the Convo icon in your menu bar and selecting "Open Dashboard," or use the "Open Toolbar" button in the sidebar to switch back to the compact toolbar view.
The Home view gives you a quick overview of what's coming up and what you've recently discussed.
After connecting your Google Calendar, you'll see your next 5 upcoming events displayed as cards showing:
Click any event card to open it in Google Calendar. If you haven't connected your calendar yet, you'll see a "Connect calendar" button with skeleton placeholder cards.
Below upcoming events, you'll find your recent conversations grouped by date (Today, Yesterday, or specific dates). Each call shows:
Click any call to view the full conversation details, transcript, and AI insights.
View and search through your complete conversation history. This view includes:
Use the search icon to find conversations by keyword, participant name, or topic. You can also sort by date, duration, or title using the filter menu.
Pro tip: Use search to quickly find specific discussions or action items from past calls.
The Overview section (under General in the sidebar) provides AI-powered insights from your recent conversations.
Three insight cards show your weekly activity:
Total number of calls this week
Combined duration of all conversations
Most frequently discussed subject
Convo's AI automatically extracts commitments and tasks from your last 14 days of conversations. Each action item shows:
Only high-quality, actionable items are shown (maximum 3 per conversation, sorted by importance).
Get reminders about commitments you made to others, including overdue or approaching deadlines. Each notification is color-coded by type and priority.
Live Answer (under General in the sidebar) lets you create Q&A cards that Convo can reference during live calls to help you respond quickly and accurately.
During calls, Convo monitors the conversation and surfaces relevant cards when appropriate, helping you deliver consistent, accurate answers.
Ask AI (under General in the sidebar) is where you upload knowledge sources so Convo can search them in real-time during calls.
Connect your documentation, sales decks, websites, and other reference materials. Convo supports three upload methods:
After uploading documents, use the preview panel to test how Convo responds to questions. This helps you verify that your knowledge sources are working correctly before your next call.
Example: Upload your product documentation, then ask "What are the key features?" to see how Convo extracts and presents information.
Access settings from the sidebar to manage your account, preferences, and workspace.
Connect external knowledge sources like Notion and Slack (currently in development).
View your subscription status and manage billing through the Stripe Customer Portal (click "Manage" button).
Use the "Open Toolbar" button in the sidebar to minimize the dashboard and show the compact menu bar toolbar. Click the Convo icon to reopen the dashboard.
Click "General" in the Call Types section to expand or collapse Overview, Live Answer, and Ask AI options.
Click your profile at the bottom of the sidebar to access sign out options.
Go to Settings → My Account and ensure Google Calendar is connected. Click "Connect" if you see a disconnected status, then authorize Convo to access your calendar.
